Laguna Lodge is a rain forest ecotourism lodge, a leader among the tropical country’s hotels with an extra touch in style, comfort and personalized service.
The lodge is situated along Costa Rica’s northern Caribbean Zone, an exclusive location on a narrow strip of land between the sea on one side and the Tortuguero-Lagoon on the other.
The Region is for the green sea turtle the most important nesting site in the entire Western half of the Caribbean. The season starts around July and ends by October and the guest can be able to take one of the night walks to search for green sea turtles.
The Lodge offers 84 standard rooms with views to the gardens and forests that surround the hotel. Every room is equipped with a ceiling fan, lamps and wooden bench outside the room to sit and admire the gardens.
The open air restaurant is located in front of the Tortuguero lagoon, providing beautiful views of the forests nearby. The meals are served buffet style with a variety, of fresh tropical fruits and vegetables.
The Lodge provides also the following services and facilities: 2 bars, swimming pool with hydro-massage waterfall and a small islet, 15 acres full of trees and exotic plants, open butterfly garden with local plants that attract local species, trails ideal for bird watching, private access to the beach, conference room, souvenir shop, room service, laundry service and parking.
Among the different activities are posible fishing and kayaking tours.
