Day 01:
Arrival transfer from the international airport to San Jose hotel. Overnight at
Sleep Inn Hotel.
Check in in a new hotel is located in the
heart of San Jose on 3rd Avenue, Street 9 and 11. Sleep Inn Hotel
an excellent location to explore San Jose by foot and very convenient to reach the main attractions of
the city. The hotel has a walking distance to many restaurants, casinos, bars and stores around downtown.
New and modern building with business center, wireless internet access in the lobby, casino, souvenir
store, gym, restaurant, meeting rooms in adjoining building. The hotel has a large parking lot and the
hotel is easy to find in the middle of San Jose. Breakfast included.
Day 02:
Our trip begins early with breakfast at Hotel Suerre Restaurant en route to the
embarkation point of Cano Blanco. We drive through the spectacular rain forests of Braulio Carrillo
National Park, just 45 minutes from San José, then visit a banana packing plantation (Mon - Fri weather
permitting). Just in time for lunch! You will be at your leisure in the afternoon to experience the
local culture and habitat, visit some of the area's wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature
trails or just relax in a luxurious hammock. Our resident biologist will present a slide show on
Tortuguero's natural history in the early evening and in season an optional night tour will take you to
view the nesting turtles. Overnight in Pachira Lodge. (All meals
included)
Day 03:
Early the next morning, we will explore the marvellous Tortuguero canals in
smaller, open boats that will allow you better visibility for an even closer look at the flora and
fauna in the smaller canals. Breakfast, You will be at your leisure in the afternoon to experience
the local culture and habitat, visit some of the area's wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature
trails or just relax in a luxurious hammock Overnight at Pachira
Lodge. (All meals included)
Day 04 & 05:
Take breakfast and do check out, you will have the chance to see more
wildlife. We will board the boat way back to Cano Blanco. The a/c bus will be waiting in the dock in
order to bring us to hotel Suerre for Lunch.
After having lunch a representative from a Car Rental
company will be assisting you in order to deliver your car previously arranged. A 4x4 Daihatsu Terios
(manual transmission)
All paper works will be done in less than 10 minutes. Be sure to have handy
your passport, driver license and the credit card in order to apply the CDW (US$ 750.00 in credit card)
and any insurance you may want to take as basic or full coverage can be arranged directly with this car
rental representative as well. Do not forge to ask for directions.
Your adrenaline and adventure is
going to keep going up from this point. Be prepared to explore Costa Rica on your own.
Check in Quinta Sarapiqui Lodge. Only 40 minutes drive from Guapiles town (where you had lunch way back from
Tortuguero).
Day 06 & 07:
Located at only 2 hours from Sarapiquí, the Arenal Springs Hotel offers
the perfect combination between relaxation, comfort, and exuberant tropical scenery, as well as the
best view of the Arenal Volcano from any vantage point in the premises. The Arenal Springs Hotel
features colonial style rooms, with all the amenities that one can expect from a 20 room mountain
retreat, (four rooms are specially designed for the handicapped). Each room can accommodate up to
five people, and they feature their own terrace, king or queen size beds, air conditioning, cable
TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, telephone, security box, private bathroom, hair dryer, and lush tropical
gardens. Daily Breakfast is included.
Day 08 & 09:
Hotel Heliconia located in a
privileged location, that places it near two of the most beautiful, protected, tropical forests
in Costa Rica; the well known Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve (at only four kilometers from the
hotel) and the Santa Elena Rain Forest Reserve (at six kilometers).Guided natural history tours,
horseback riding, rubber boots, laundry service, jacuzzi, transportation to and from the reserves,
transportation service to anywhere in the country from Monteverde and vise versa. The hotel has 32
spacious rooms which have been designed to offer home-style comfort in the warmth of all wood
construction. Every room has a single and a double bed with orthopedic mattress, generous storage,
a private safe for valuables, private bathroom with hot water, and the luxury of a bathtub to sooth
tired muscles. Daily breakfast is included.
Day 10,11 & 12:
Located in the middle of a small private world, surrounded by gardens
and tranquility, is found Hotel El Parador, near the famous
Manuel Antonio National Park. All the rooms have air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, and hot water.
The facilities include: swimming pool, restaurants, bars, jacuzzi, sauna, conference room, casino,
parking, tennis court, mini-golf, gymnasium, and handicrafts shop. Daily breakfast included.
Day 13:
The Garden Court Hotel & Casino in San Jose,
Costa Rica, sits one mile from Juan Santamaria International Airport and 10 miles from downtown San
Jose. The hotel offers complimentary transportation to and from the airport and area restaurants. Inter
American Highway is located nearby for easy access to the beaches and national parks in Puntarenas and
Guanacaste. Poas Volcano is located 20 kilometers away as well.
The four-story
Garden Court Hotel & Casino houses a swimming pool and the Fiesta
Casino and Pirates Bar. It also offers complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby, as well as
complimentary VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) calls worldwide using the Internet. Meeting rooms can
be found on-site as well, and the 24-hour, multilingual staff can provide tourism information and dry
cleaning services. Parking is complimentary at this hotel, which also contains a fitness center and
gift shop.

Day 14:
You have the choice to leave the car at the airport or at the hotel
Garden Court. Just contact your car rental representative
a day before in order to coordinate the return of the car.
