What to do in Costa Rica: Teleton joins the country to help children

The end of the year brings one of the most important activities in Costa Rica, the Teleton, which will be held from December 2 at 9 pm until midnight on December 3, at the Palacio de los Deportes in Heredia. The Active 20-30 Club, organizer of charity activity, aims to raise 550 million to acquire modern hospital equipment.
Full details of the Teleton are prepared, from travel packages to Costa Rica to bring the artists who will visit us, to different forms established to receive donations from people and companies who want to help.
The Teleton is a charity event, but also a spectacle of high artistic, cultural and human quality to entertain the audience. So the organization announced in a press conference the names of recognized national and international artists that will make the event one of the best attractions in Costa Rica during Christmas time.

This year will be present, among others, the Mexican singers Dulce Maria and Kalimba. There will also be other artists such as The Roockie, Mariana Vega, Los Rabanes and the Colombian Fanny Lu, who arrived at Juan Santamari­a, the most important airport in Costa Rica, on November 30.
In addition, the event will have an excellent group of Costa Rican artists that also will contribute to make it one of the best things to see in Costa Rica in December, as Elena Umana and his group, Humberto Vargas, Jose Canas, Percance, Son of Tikizia, Swing Brazil, Taboga Band, Talawa, Tapon and Toledo & Banton.
There will be entertainment for children with a clowns group named The Pirulos and also a comedy block with the main comic actors from Costa Rica.
With the funds raised the organizers will purchase modern equipment for the Neonatology and Intensive Care area of National Children’s Hospital, Neonatology area of Monsenor Sanabria Hospital in Puntarenas, and the Pediatrics area of Dr. Escalante Pradilla Hospital in Perez Zeledon.
