Snorkeling: Know Costa Rica’s sea life
I can assure that practicing snorkel is a perfect adventure in Costa Rica since during this activity; I could find some of the amazing attractions. Â I was delighted with the impressive fringing reefs. These fringing reefs are home to an amazing variety of sea life I was able to enjoy. As well, they are one of the most interesting ecosystems to watch in the world. I found different types of crustaceans, sea flora, fishes and more and just by snorkeling at the right place.
I went snorkeling at Parque Nacional Cahuita, one of greatest places for sightseeing, located in the Caribbean coast of the country. I can say it was a relaxing, impressive and peaceful ride.
Relaxing because those three hours made me trip and forget about anything else I was thinking on. Impressive thanks to numerous sea animals I saw for the first time and the amazing color combinations the coral and vegetation offered me.
Punta Uva was another attraction I visited. It is also located in the Caribbean coast where you can meet with Playa Manzanillo, and the Reserva Vida Salvaje Gandoca Manzanillo. This refugee has around 10 950 sea hectares and protects more than 5 km2 of fringing reef near the coast.
In this ride, I remember the gentle sea breeze on my way to the snorkeling area. I had the opportunity to snorkel right above the coral reef full of splendid colors. Also, (the part I enjoyed the most) I adventured at deeper points and explored sea caves and openings at the seabed. There were bright colors everywhere from the tropical fishes, lots of plants and a huge variety of sea life.
This is just one little side of Costa Rica where you can snorkel; however, you can take one of those Costa Rica travel specials to adventure yourself through the sea life around the country.
