Costa Rica National Parks Volunteering

Costa Rica's bio-diversity is reflected in its many national parks ranging from cloud forests to tropical dry forest, volcanoes, beaches and turtle projects, depending on the time of the year. The organization's purpose is to coordinate volunteers to work at the different parks.

Mainly consists of making informational signs, trail construction and maintenance, general maintenance of building. Those with a specialization in a related field can propose a special project. The park system is mainly interested in investigations which help with the management of the park area. Volunteers would also be required to share technical knowledge with park staff and prepare them to continue the research period. They are usually given a choice between at least 2 parks.
